About Us

Around 1947, Russel S. Dart and John R. Dart (my grandfather and father, respectively) started growing Christmas trees on the Russel S. Dart farm.

That acre still exists.

In the 1950's and 60's, the Dutch Elm disease took it's toll on our American Elms. Dad contracted to remove many of those trees in Middlesex County. My brother and I were in charge of getting coffee and donuts for the crew. Our pay was 1/2 dozen donuts, which we split. Thus my entry into the tree care industry.

In 1975 I entered the USNavy as electronics technician. In 1984, I received my A.S. degree from Mohegan University.

I studied Urban Arboriculture under National Arborist Association with ACRT.

Continuing education has been with the Connecticut Tree Protective Association and the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station.

I am, presently, nearing the completion of Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with Ames International School of Ministry.
